After an extensive selection process, Spacio were selected to refurbish Samsung Cambridge’s flagship 19,000 sq ft Design Centre to showcase its position as a global leader in chip-level technology for various products in the Samsung range.

Delivering technical excellence for an industry leader

Spacio partnered with Samsung to deliver a digital experience that reflects the brand’s precision, innovation, and attention to detail. Our focus was on creating a clean, intuitive interface that supports engagement, presents content clearly, and maintains consistency with Samsung’s global brand standards.

The Spacio team was tasked in this project to refresh and modernise the site to match the company’s prestige. The full scope of work was covered, from decoration and fit out, furniture design and sourcing to HVAC services and project management. Our mission was to deliver a bold new look while keeping any operational disruption to the minimum. The existing space needed to be more pzazz, with the layout of the 19,000 sq site needing to be optimised for team collaboration. It also required more areas where staff could unwind and recharge their batteries. Moreover, the workspace needed to reflect the company’s branding, as colours and furnishings had become worn, tired and diluted.

The space called for a cohesive and intuitive journey, making the most of the open plan to ensure every area was used to its full potential. At the heart of the brief was a desire to create an environment where employees feel valued, supported, and genuinely enjoy coming to work each day. With this in mind, the refurbishment was carefully planned to balance functionality with a positive and uplifting atmosphere.

Working closely with Samsung’s facilities team, Spacio developed a bright, contemporary aesthetic centred around the brand’s iconic blue. A seamless flow was created throughout the space, with subtle zoning achieved through contrasting finishes — soft light grey carpeting across the main office and deeper navy tones within the break areas, clearly defining spaces for focus, rest, and relaxation.

The main office was thoughtfully arranged to include a glass-partitioned meeting room, with desk areas positioned behind uplifting, tree-inspired yellow dividers that bring energy and a sense of openness to the workspace. Alongside a retro games room, Samsung’s Cambridge team now benefited from a calm, library-inspired retreat, complete with soft furnishings — offering the perfect setting for focused work or a moment of quiet relaxation.

This cohesive design flowed seamlessly into the kitchen and dining area, where Samsung’s signature blue was paired with pendant lighting and a variety of seating options to suit different needs. Every detail was carefully considered to modernise the entire site, with Spacio managing all aspects of the project to ensure it was delivered successfully on time and within budget.

Samsung Cambridge was delighted with the outcome of the refurbishment, with the new space restoring a strong sense of pride in their workplace. Successfully balancing visual appeal with employee wellbeing and productivity, the project stands as a testament to Spacio’s ability to deliver on every level — a truly rewarding result for all involved.
